The purpose of this analysis is to study the dissipating capacity of a system which is intended to be integrated in a complete solution that is expected to provide blast resistant potential. The method used for that is by creating a 3D finite element model using LS-DYNA, a highly advanced general-purpose nonlinear finite element program that is capable of simulating complex real-world problems. Adequate characterization data of the numerical model is included, along with all the explanations required to understand the different choices, as well as some recommendations. Von Mises stress and force-displacement curves will be visualized, compared and interpreted.
